The funds are the Amundi Global Space Technologies UCITS ETF, the Amundi Global Critical Metals & Rare Earths UCITS ETF and the Amundi Global Electrification Infrastructure UCITS ETF. Space Technologies covers infrastructure, launchers and ground stations used for navigation, surveillance and global connectivity. Critical Metals & Rare Earths targets companies involved in metals and rare earths used in the AI value chain and in energy technologies. The launch follows two thematic ETFs Amundi brought to market this summer covering memory chips and data centers. Amundi says thematic indices are a more efficient way to target a specific market theme, much as sectors were when they appeared decades ago.
Amundi puts net inflows into European thematic ETFs at nearly EUR22 billion in 2026 and describes the year as a record for the European ETF market.
