ChinaAMC lists Asia's first spot Solana ETF on HKEX

The new Solana fund expands Hong Kong's virtual asset ETF lineup beyond bitcoin and ether.

China Asset Management (Hong Kong) has listed a spot Solana ETF on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the first such fund in Asia. The fund trades under three tickers: 3460, 83460 and 9460. It tracks SOL, the native token of the Solana blockchain, according to the exchange.

The listing extends Hong Kong's virtual asset ETF lineup, which already has spot bitcoin and ether funds. The exchange called the launch a milestone, a step that widens the range of crypto tokens investors in the region can hold directly.

The exchange's notice is silent on the fee, expense ratio and launch assets. The three tickers follow the standard Hong Kong practice of separate trading lines for RMB, HKD and USD, though the exchange's statement does not say which currency each ticker represents.
