Oil is back at around USD100 a barrel, according to Gianmarco Roncarolo, a sales director at the firm. The firm's product description says oil has returned to the centre of investors' attention. It cites sharp price swings driven by geopolitical tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, through which around a fifth of the world's crude oil shipments used to pass, and recent attacks on Saudi Arabian infrastructure that pushed prices higher and took the year-to-date gain to more than 50 per cent.
GraniteShares' commentary places gold at around USD4,200 an ounce, broadly flat year to date after peaking at the end of January. It puts silver in the USD61 area, down around 14 per cent year to date after reaching an all-time high above USD120 in late January. GraniteShares notes that more than half of silver demand comes from industry, including electronics, solar photovoltaics, electric vehicles and medical applications, which it says makes the metal more volatile than gold. The firm also cites a Silver Institute forecast of a sixth consecutive annual supply deficit for 2026.
Roncarolo said the launch gives traders and professional investors an exchange-traded way to act on short-term views without margin requirements. "In this kind of environment, the ability to express a short-term view quickly matters as much as strategic portfolio positioning," he said, adding that the firm is "extending our UK range beyond equity underlyings."
The commodity range extends a leveraged and inverse shelf where GraniteShares has been among the more active issuers. GraniteShares took five of the eight slots on one early-October weekly ranking of leveraged and inverse ETFs, per ETF Trends' list. The leverage factor is defined on daily performance, so it applies to each session's move rather than a fixed multiple over a longer holding period.
