Morningstar's Daniel Sotiroff is quoted saying a lot of this year's TIPS money has gone into ETFs targeting the zero- to five-year range. He notes that the Treasury issues TIPS at standard maturities of five, 10 or 30 years, so shorter paper tends to turn up in the secondary market as those bonds age.

The article runs on an Invesco-sponsored content hub and credits VettaFi as author. It translates the expense ratio to $7 a year on a $10,000 position.
