T. Rowe Price launches first European active ETFs with zero first-year fee

T. Rowe Price launched its first European active ETFs this month, two Irish-domiciled equity strategies that charge no fee for the first year. The funds registered on Xetra on 8 October 2026, with the London Stock Exchange following on 15 October and Borsa Italiana on 22 October.

The launch coverage does not set out the fee that applies after the first year. Absent that number, the value of the offer over a normal holding period cannot be measured from what has been reported.

Vanguard's new USD high yield UCITS ETF carries a 0.15% charge from launch, a permanent fee rather than T. Rowe Price's first-year waiver. It tracks the Bloomberg US High Yield $250MM 2% Issuer Capped Index and is slated for listing on five European exchanges. The launch coverage includes no asset targets or seed figures for either fund.

Capital Group has won Irish approval for four UCITS active ETFs expected to launch in Europe and Asia-Pacific in the first quarter of 2027. Fee terms for those funds are not disclosed in the approval coverage.
